Location |

Job |
Backline support engineer for an American software company |
Favourite Formula and why? |
Any endurance Sports and GT series but especially the Le Mans 24
Hours. I am so pleased when is does not clash with a 750MC meeting so
that I can watch it on TV! |
Race driving experience |
4 laps of Thruxton in a detuned FF2000 on a cold and wet January morning! |
How long and history with 750MC |
First 750MC meeting in 1996. Took over as Chief Timekeeper in 1999. |
Other clubs you have worked for |
Started marshalling with BARC as a runner in 1974 before moving
onto paddock marshalling, then as a course marshal before starting
timekeeping in 1978. Became Chief Timekeeper for BARC in 1986 then later
for BRSCC(EA) and 750MC. In recent years have cut back to just 750MC to
enjoy more leisure time. Have been fortunate to work on official timing
teams at a number of foreign events including WSB races in Malaysia in
the early 90s, and the Wellington and Pukekohe touring car races in New
Zealand in 1993. |
Favourite circuit and why |
After this year it has to be Anglesey. Best views from any timing room, even if we did have to share it with race control and the commentator! |
Best Meeting you have worked at and why |
The 2006 Birkett 6 Hour Relay. It was the first year with 50 teams and the whole timing team did a brilliant job to keep on top of the event. |
Outside interests |
Walking, reading, yoga, theatre (going to, not acting in!). |
